Worn by the likes of Paloma Faith, Jessie J and Kate Nash, Lee Lapthorne’s symmetrical and bold prints are in high demand. And no wonder: Design Week magazine numbered him among the ‘Hot Fifty’ most important folk in design. That’s probably because, when it comes to the British fashion industry, he’s something of a Swiss Army knife.

The quintessential creative entrepreneur and visionary, Lee not only heads up doll—an award-winning fashion event management company with an impressive clientele—but also showcases On|Off at London, Paris and Milan’s fashion weeks, manages and promotes emerging fashion talent, publicly consults on trends, advises for TV competitions like Next Top Model and Make Me a Supermodel, externally examines a degree in Print Media, sets up fashion and design school awards, and judges the Old Spitalfields Paw Pageant Dog Show.

With all that going on, he somehow found the time to participate in Hiive’s recent ‘What’s In Your Top Drawer?’ photography project, shot by Harry Mitchell. His top drawer contained no Swiss Army knives, but some expected items (lint roller, shoehorn, bulldog clips), and some unexpected (a chocolate[?] doll in plastic wrapping, and a stop-watch).

Find him on Twitter and Instagram, or over on his website.

What about your top drawer? Have a rummage, snap a photo, and tweet it or post it to us. We'll slide it in here.
