Do you currently own or are you developing an app or online platform targeted at children? Do you have the tools in place capable of keeping children safe?

This practical guide which has been very recently put together outlines the approaches to which providers of social media and interactive services (think apps or online platforms) who target children can ensure their young audience is secure.

Technology has opened the ways people can communicate, learn and be entertained, but it can also be used negatively and this is where the provider must have the capabilities to deal with incidents immediately and effectively.

This guide can also be used by those who have platforms that do not target under 18s but still attract them.

This guide is headed up by the UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCCIS) with contributions from representatives at GoogleBBC, Microsoft, Facebook, NSPCC and more.
