AVA Emerging Talent Competitions

AVA Festival & Conference is calling all emerging electronic music producers, DJ’s and Visual Artists based across the UK & Ireland. AVA is committed to showcasing both local and international talent and their AVA Emerging competitions are the perfect opportunity to shine a light on the strength of the thriving underground scene.

Emerging DJ

The Emerging DJ competition will give the opportunity for an up and coming DJ to showcase their skills in a 30 minute mini mix, with 3 finalists performing in a live final at Belfast Underground Records.

  • Performing slot at AVA Festival 2017
  • Showcase on Belfast Underground Records Radio

Emerging Producer

The Emerging Producer competition will give the opportunity for a producer who has not yet had a release to feature on an Extended Play as well as a host of other prizes.

  • Feature on the Feel My Bicep blog
  • Mentoring and artist development support from JMX & T-BONE
  • Technical support from our partner Native Instruments
  • Features on BBC's Across The Line

Emerging Visual Artist

The Emerging Visual Artist competition will be awarded to an artist showing significant potential and creativity in either photography, moving image or audio-visual arts. The Prize is for emerging artists of all ages and career paths. The competition aims to help find and build the careers of emerging talent and get their work viewed by a wider audience.

WHAT YOU WIN

  • Feature on Dazed & Confused Magazine
  • Finalists showcased across AVA Festival & Conference
  • Selected shortlist will be showcased across Belfast including as part of Belfast Photo Festival and Bullitt Hotel
