Sam is the Executive Producer on the world premier premiere Musical production of LORD OF THE FLIES, to be directed by former Royal Shakespeare Company Artistic Director, Adrian Noble (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Secret Garden), and, Associate Producer of THE BIG HOUSE, a youth arts charity working with young people who have left the care system. For THE BIG HOUSE, Samuel has produced POLITRIX, A Verbatim Play and THE REALNESS, A co-productions with Douglas McJannet for Big Broad Productions.

Samuel began his producing career with 3 days standing at a photocopier in Bill Kenwright’s office in Warwick Avenue. From here he spent six months at BKL working on UK tours of prodcutions such as Blood Brothers, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, the European Tour of Evita, and Laughter in the Rain, The Neal Sedaka story.

Sam went on to be the Creative Producer at The Cock Tavern Theatre, where he produced a season of Edward Bond’s work, including the controversial, world premiere of THERE WILL BE MORE, and the UK Premiere of Harold Rome’s PINS AND NEEDLES, which won Time Out Magazine Fringe Show of 2010. In 2011, Sam became the inaugural Resident Producer at MCS and Oxford Playhouse, where over the course of a year he produced several works including, A world premier of Virgils, THE AENEID, SIX CHARACTER’S IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR, and THE GRANDFATHERS for the National Theatre’s Connections Festival.

Simultaneously, Sam was working as an independent producer working across a variety of disciplines and theatrical genres. Credits include:Almost Near (Finborough Theatre), Mrs Lowry and Son (Trafalgar Studios), Vanessa and Virginia (Riverside Studios) Little Women the Musical  (Off-West-End Award* Nomination for Best New Musical), Poe: Macabre Resurrections (Church Street Theatre), La Chunga (Church Street Theatre/West End), Pins and Needles (Cock Tavern Theatre, Time Out Fringe Show of 2010), The Pope’s Wedding (Cock Tavern Theatre). 

In 2013 Sam founded Julyan Creative Productions, to develop and create live performance and entertainments for a diverse variety of audiences both nationally and internationally. Fuelled by a passion for theatre, telling important stories and entertaining audiences. JCP delights, educates and excites audiences from a spectrum of backgrounds with performances that have both cultural importance and/or commercial viability. Highlights for JCP include the UK Premiere of Noel Coward’s THIS WAS A MAN, and Theatre Temoin’s NINEVEH (or The Return Project), an international project exploring the stories of ex-combatants in Rwanda, Kashmir, Israel and Lebanon. JCP continues to develop new works including LORD OF THE FLIES, and is  bringing Peter Quilters 4000 Days to the Park Theatre in January 2016.
