Tara is a theatre maker and director from the South East of England. She studied and trained in Dublin, Ireland, and founded The Conker Group in London in 2012. The company were selected to present their work as part of The Yard's NOW '15 festival of "the brightest new voices of theatre" and are supported by Farnham Maltings. They are currently co-producing with HOME Manchester and with Pontio Arts (Bangor). 

She is a Creative Associate at The Gate, Resident Artist with Company of Angels, a former Associate Director to Michael Grandage, and a former Resident Assistant Director at The Abbey, The National Theatre of Ireland.

She regularly works in outreach with The Young Vic, as a workshop facilitator with adult community groups and with young people. She is currently developing new work with Pontio, Bangor (MY BODY WELSH, Spring 2017).

She has assisted in the West End and at Shakespeare's Globe, The Gate and The Abbey among many others. 

She regularly practises parkour, and plays the oboe from time to time.
