I'm a skilled multimedia journalist and content writer with experience telling stories online and in print, and via audio and video formats. I have a strong expertise in digital media and communications; I’m social-media savvy and a proficient user of Adobe Creative Suite software with accurate and engaging writing skills, and a creative mindset.

I developed my journalistic expertise as a reporter for The Santiago Times in Chile, writing news articles, features and photographic essays covering stories such as the country’s burgeoning beer market, the campaigning actions of LGBT activists, and social innovation festival ‘FIIS’ featuring the founder of Wikipedia Jimmy Page. I also pitched and wrote content for Chile’s leading digital arts and culture magazine Revista Revolver. I worked as a reporter for the food industry publishing house Dewberry Redpoint, and as an editor for One Planet Leeds magazine, which promotes a positive understanding of asylum and refugee issues. I was selected by the youth co-creation cultural agency Latimer to provide editorial direction and vision for The Big Issue magazine, alongside its social platforms, to drive traffic and reach new audiences. I also pitch and write SEO-targeted careers advice content for millennial readers for Debut Careers, inspired by the screen industries and popular culture.

When working across both Hiive and Creative Skillset I managed multiple responsibilities including researching and writing relevant content for the Hiive community, producing and editing monthly ‘Heard on Hiive’ podcasts, assisting with photography and video shoots, compiling newsletters, recording voiceovers, managing social media editorial calendars, creating digital assets via Adobe InDesign/Photoshop and delivering analytics reports to inform a wider content strategy for the digital marketing team. I also assisted the events team in delivering outreach opportunities across London’s creative companies, and was offered a content co-ordinator role.

I was selected as one of the top 30 candidates out of more than 10,000 applicants for the highly competitive BBC Production Trainee Scheme for my three-part documentary pitch exploring female sexual pleasure for BBC III. As a finalist for The Grierson Trust Doc/Lab scheme for aspiring documentary film-makers I was praised on my high energy and commitment to storytelling; I was a participant in the creative campaigning course ‘Shake! Young Voices in Arts, Media, Race and Power’ and co-directed/produced an experimental film exploring the ethics of the food industry which was screened at Rich Mix London. I worked as an assistant camera operator at the Barbican’s Battle of Ideas Festival via Worldbytes Citizen TV and was requested for further filming opportunities. During my history degree I developed an astute eye for detail and analytical mindset; I undertook qualitative research for Nomad Movies Ltd on a documentary project about India’s Nomad and Denotified Tribes. Moreover, when working for the factual TV production company Nutopia, I was a runner, logger and edit suite assistant for the upcoming National Geographic series One Strange Rock, and collaborated with editorial teams to devise cross-platform TV content.

As a member of the award-winning Leeds Student Radio I solo devised and produced the factual entertainment radio show ‘Seasonal Soundbites’ - an eclectic combination of speech and music genres. I was awarded the runner-up Best Female Presenter Award for my station and collaborated with a committed broadcast team to provide overnight coverage of the UK general election. I have worked in audio production as a reporter for Podium.me, production assistant for Wandsworth Community Radio, producer for Inform My Opinion on a podcast about TTIP (The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership), intern at BBC Radio 4, and contributor for BBC Radio 1Xtra’s ‘My Mind and Me’ campaign.

I’m also a self-taught photographer and have produced photo assets for organisations such as Sheffield Documentary Festival, Light Night Leeds, the Sky Academy Arts Scheme and socio-environmental NGO Fundación Montecito in Colombia.

I’m passionate, dynamic and conscientious, and am currently looking for junior/entry-level roles within digital content to further develop my broad-ranging skills, and contribute my ideas. Please get in touch if you are aware of any suitable opportunities, or would be interested in collaborating on creative projects.
