Hi there...

I am an artist, illustrator, photographer and writer, living in a village just outside Chichester in the heart of the Sussex countryside on the south coast

I am married to Luke, he works (all the time) in Radio in London, and comes from the Cape of South Africa. We have a beautiful and clever daughter named Orla.

I studied at Amersham College of Art, undertaking a Foundation course in Art and Design and also a Diploma in Art and Design.

I went to East London University to study a BA in Fashion and Textile design. I chose this subject as I had an interest in vintage couture, and my Grandmother had taught me to sew and embroider when I was young. Some years later I also studied business/marketing and web design.

Apart from being a freelance artist/illustrator and writer, I divide my time between drawing, writing, reading, photography, playing my flute, looking after my family and eating far more chocolate than I should.

Much of my art is influenced by the sea and nature. However, I love the quirky and colourful, including toys, all sorts of bric a brac and ephemera, so am quite likely to be doodling robots, cakes, shoes and hats as well as anything else.

A lot of my work these days seems to be sketchbook based, and have inadvertently gotten a rep as a 'sketchbook/moleskine' artist. This wasn't by design, but as a result of being a busy Mother and 'drawing on the go.

I am also founder and co-editor of an online art & design magazine called Artjunky.net which serves to support people in the creative industries, and contribute to various other publications.

Last year I felt like doing something diferent, so started a Ceramics course.

I love to connect with other artists, so say hello...
