Sky Academy Arts Scholarships 2016
We’re delighted to announce we are partnering with Sky Academy for the next series of Sky Academy Arts Scholarships. The applications for these prestigious scholarships open on November 26 2015. We’re delighted to bring the Scholarships to Hiive as the scheme offers a phenomenal opportunity to explore your talent as a creative professional with the prospect of winning a life-changing £30,000/€40,000 and mentoring provided by this Scholarship.
Now in its fifth year, the Sky Academy Arts Scholarships are open to UK and Ireland residents aged 18-30. There will be four £30,000 scholarships awarded to UK artists and one €40,000 scholarship awarded to an Irish artist.
You can enter under six different categories. The competition links for each category are as follows:
Sky Academy Arts Scholarship Swarm
We’ve also created a swarm to centralise all news, links, information and questions into one area to make it easier for you to keep on top of everything. We will be updating this regularly with articles and news so sign up as a swarm member to be notified of any new updates to the swarm.
Got a question?
You have a number of ways that you can ask a question about the competitions and the scheme.
- Sky Academy Arts Scholarships Swarm – you can post your question in the discussion area, and we’ll be sure to get back to you
- On the competition itself – there is a comment area where you can post any questions you may have. Be sure to check the previous comments, or comments in the Swarm, in case your question has already been asked.
- Twitter Q&A – we will be holding monthly Twitter Q&A sessions on designated hours. At the end we’ll collate all the questions and put them into that swarm as promised. However, if it is anything urgent, you can always tweet us at @wearehiive and we will make sure to get back to you as quickly as possible
The competition will close at 5pm Thursday 10 March where the winners will be announced at the South Bank Awards in June.
Make the most of it
If you are a creative professional living in the UK & Ireland and aged 18-30, we cannot encourage you enough to apply for this scheme. There are very few opportunities like this in the world for people looking to make a sustainable break into the creative industries.
The very best of luck to all applicants and we look forward to meeting the new Sky Academy Arts Scholars in 2016.
